About Me I loved animals all my life. Early childhood reading of Black Beauty by Anna Sewell molded my values concerning our relationships with and treatment of animals. When I was 8, my great-aunt gave me a first edition of Kazan by James Oliver Curwood, and that book fueled my fascination with sleddogs. Being viscously bitten by a dog as a child, caused me to fear dogs until we had one as a family pet. Once on my own, I quickly got a big dog and have never been without one since. I've never been without cats, either. The family just isn't complete without them. I love being with them, observing them, working with them and playing with them. More about me here if you are interested.
